Jon Favreau’s upcoming live-action Jungle Book remake, set for release next year, has gained another peg over the Warner Bros. and Andy Serkis Jungle Book film that’s also in the pipeline. Not only is internet BAMF Bill Murray cast in Baloo, in casting that feels legitimately like it was destined to be, it has been confirmed that Bill Murray will give us the Bare Necessities.
Covered by The Telegraph, Jon was interview recently in which he confirmed that, although this version isn’t a musical, Murray will belt out the funky tune in the film. The feel-good song, a staple of ’67 animated classic, is considered a bare necessity of The Jugle Book canon by many, so this may be the best move the film has yet made!
