Westworld_ver2Sci-fi classic Westworld, from 1973, is getting a full series from HBO, Variety reports.
Announced at the Warner Bros. Investor Day presentation, HBO have contracted Johnathan Nolan on board to executive produce, write and direct the series. Lisa Nolan, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burke will fill out the executive producers, with Bad Robot Productions handling the making of the series.
The real clincher for this, however, is the cast, with Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Miranda Otto, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Angela Sarafyan and Simon Quarterman all confirmed to appear.
This has all the makings of another HBO hit, and Westworld is a stone-cold classic you should watch in the interim while we wait for more news!
