Facebook Have Improved Their News Feed

Facebook has recently updated the layout of their News Feed to make it easier to hide people with boring status updates. The Social Media site announced that they will be giving users more control over what they see in the News Feed in what looks like an effort for people to spend even more time on their network.
The News Feed settings will now show a list of users, pages and groups that have been cluttering up the feed, letting you unfollow them or request that you don’t see any more updates from them.
Facebook explained in a blog post: “News Feed settings will now show a list of the top people, Pages and Groups that you’ve seen in your News Feed over the past week. You can choose to sort by people, Pages or Groups posts, or see an overall summary.
“Unfollow any friend, Page or Group if you don’t want to see their stories in your News Feed. You can also see who you’ve unfollowed in the past and can choose to re-follow them at anytime.”
Facebook are also doing a piece of work that will let users to hide the stories straight from the News Feed. When you click on the little grey arrow next to a post, you will be asked if you want to see fewer posts from that person or page.
This isn’t the first time that Facebook has clamped down on the amount of rubbish on the News Feed with them announcing during the year that it will reduce the amount of third party spam showing up. Facebook’s refreshed News Feed is available now on the desktop and mobile versions.
