Two days ago, photographs uploaded to imgur showed artist making pictures using a magnifying glass to focus the sun. The exact method is unclear, but looking images it seems that the artist sketched their designs on wood before applying their magnifying glass. The feat remains impressive, and frankly to expect the artist to free hand would be churlish.
