Kingdom Hearts fans everywhere wait with baited breath of any news of the game whether it be release date (we wish) or a small revelation of what’s to come. Game director Tetsuya Nomura, who recently stepped down from Final Fantasy XV to focus more on Kingdom Hearst III stated the game will not be developed with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 rather than the originally though Luminous Engine after it was promoted at E3 2012 in the Agni’s Philosophy tech demo.
Having told Famitsu the change had been made for various reasons there would be no further slowdown of production from the switch although there had been some teething issues with rendering at the beginning. It is still believed that Luminous is still in use for Final Fantasy XV.
Until then we have the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix to look forward to when released on December 5th 2014 and Final Fantasy Type-0 which is slated for release in early 2015.
