Gamora Goes Solo With Her Own Spin-Off
The Guardians of the Galaxy all come with their very own, very interesting back stories and they’ve all garnered new attention from fans after the Marvel movie exploded this summer and comic and movie fans connected with the ragtag crew of misfits.
At the Women of Marvel panel at NYCC, it was announced that Gamora, portrayed by actress Zoe Saldana is getting her own solo series and that one of the screenwriters for the summer blockbuster, Nicole Perlman will not only be tackling the spin-off but that this will be her debut into the world of comics. This will be Gamora’s first ever solo title, the character was created nearly forty years ago by Jim Starlin making her first appearance in Strange Tales #180.
The comic is set to be released in Spring 2015.
