If you were getting a little sick of the FPS market, then you mightn’t be too happy with the following news. If you love yourselves some first person shooting action, then you’ll probably find it incredible!
EA have announced the release date for Battlefield Hardline, and it will be on shelves March 17 in the US, March 19 in Europe and March 20 in the UK on all platforms. They went to say then that the next Battlefield game wouldn’t be until Holidays of 2016.
Meanwhile, the much -anticipated Star Wars Battlefront will see the light of day in the third quarter of 2015, and will be a first person shooter. A first look is expected early next year.
This ties in with EA’s plan to expand into the huge audience that the FPS market currently has – “This allows us to have a major first-person shooter title each year” said EA CEO Blake Jorgensen, coming from VG247.
So there you go. More yearly titles added to the roster. BUT – Star Wars, so its all good!
