Who ya gonna call? Paul Feig, that’s who! The Bridesmaids director has been rumored for weeks to be directing a new Ghostbusters film, and for months no-one’s been giving a straight answer on the status of the project. Until now, that is.
Coming from Paul Feig’s twitter account, an all female Ghostbusters is on its way with Paul directing and co-writing along with Katie Dippold. Dippold wrote the Sandra Bullock/Melissa McCarthy buddy comedy The Heat, and has written for Parks and Recreation, so she knows her way around comedy. As of now, neither Bill Murray nor Dan Akyroyd are confirmed for this film, despite Akyroyd having championed a new Ghostbusters for years.
