Most of the time, reboots come with a hard groan because. let’s be honest, most of the time they’re completely unnecessary. Thankfully, this is one that has a nice ring to it – though still mostly unnecessary. Coming out of comingsoon, I Know What You Did Last Summer, the teenage horror movie with an emphasis on the nineties slasher kick that starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jnr. has a reboot in the works…. With Oculus writer and director Mick Flanagan in charge.
Sony Pictures have okayed the production, with the film taking inspiration from the 1973 source material of the same name by Lois Duncan, so its unlikely the previous trilogy will be referenced in anyway. Only time will tell, but for now, cautious optimism, eh?
