Attack on Titan Manga to end in 3 years

There can be nothing worse than a manga series that pulls on forever, it seems like this will not be the case for fan favourite Attack on Titan. The October issue of literary magazine Da Vinci has a feature on Attack on Titan and included an interview with its creator Hajime Isayama. He stated in the interview that he projected the manga to end after 16 volumes but decided to extend this in order to properly illustrate the emotional narrative and the expanding number of characters.
Isayama also stated he aims for the manga to be completed in 20 volumes. He added that he personally wants the manga to end in about 3 years. The 14^th Volume is set to be published in North America this December by Kodansha Comics.
For anyone who has not seen the anime of read the manga the basis of Attack on Titan is an epic battle between the human race now encaged behind gigantic walls and the giants now ruling the world, the Titans.
