A capella singer Peter Hollens, who most of you probably know as that a-capella guy who sang the Wicked Medley has bagged himself a record deal with Sony after the video became viral.
Originally premiering his music video on Mashable, Hollens had signed a deal with Sony Music Masterworks that will see his debut album released on Oct 28.
His YouTube channel has just under 63 million views since first created in 2011 and includes many collaborations with fellow YouTubers including Lindsey Stirling, Sam Tsui and Nick Pitera.
“His ideas are fresh and his creative imagination is fearless,” Chuck Mitchell, senior vice president of Sony Music Masterworks said in a statement.
