‘Pride And Prejudice And Zombies’ Risen from the Dead
Rising from the dead and searching for brains…Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has staggered out of its grave and is stumbling to the big screen with the news that filming will begin in September
The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by the Quirk Publishing’s classic by Seth Grahame-Smith, introducing hordes of the undead into the world of Jane Austen and the Bennett sisters.
Lily James, Sam Riley and Bella Heathcote are named as being the leading stars with Burr Steers directing.
The film has endured a troubled production for some time now due to several changes but it will now go ahead with Steers directing from a script based on an earlier draft from David O. Russell. When the movie was first announced Natalie Portman, who remains a producer, Emma Stone and Lily Collins signed on but dropped out during the initial stages. However according the report on Deadline, the wheels are very much in motion with cameras set to begin rolling next month.
Perseverance has succeeded for Austen and Undead fans alike!
