Lava, Pixar’s new short animation short film, features a volcano named Uku singing a romantic Hawaiian tune, reminiscent of Israel Kamakawiwo’s ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, about looking for someone to lava (love). Puns are great!
Pixar’s short films are just as magical and heart-warming as their feature counterparts, and Lava looks likely to follow other great shorts such as Partly Cloudy(2009) and Day and Night(2012).
Lava will debut ahead of feature film Inside Out June 2015.
