Halo: The Master Chief Collection announced at E3 2014 brings together for the first time the games in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved , Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will all be included in the collection. It also features curated campaign and multiplayer playlists across all of the games and will feature over 100 multi-player maps.
In case you weren’t excited at the prospect of the collection, Microsoft and 343 Studios have now explained how the multi-player matchmaking system will operate and it’s very good news! The teams have decided to resurrect the same system from Halo 2 – it was simple and elegant. Players are ranked according to their win/loss ratio from 1 – 50 , reaching rank 44 would start unlocking special emblems and overall the process was widely regarded as one of the best and most balanced matchmaking systems.
