Wentworth Miller cast as 'Captain Cold'
Producers for the upcoming DC comics series ‘The Flash’ as part ‘The CW’ autumn lineup have announced that super cool (ice puns are awesome!) villain Captain Cold will appear and do battle against the Flash. Fan favourite, heart throb and role model Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) will return to the screen to take on the role of Leonard Snart, leader of the Rogues, a group of villains hellbent on wreaking havoc and ridding the world of the speedster in red!
As part of the announcement executive producer Greg Berlanti stated that “We’ll be seeing his origin and the origin of the Rogues” and Captain Cold is set to appear in the fourth episode of the show and given his history with Flash we can only hope that he’ll be a recurring villain!
The original Captain possessed no super human abilities but instead had enhanced weaponry and gadgets (like the rest of the super villain team) that used ice to subdue foes and trap pursuers. However the ‘New 52’ reboot has seen some changes to character and after experimenting on himself gained ice manipulation powers for a time!
The Flash is scheduled to air on CW October 7th.
