Transformers, Optimus Prime and Megatron are coming to a console near you! Or rather a retro console you might have owned… and it’s not a new game! No the leaders of the AutoBots and the Decepticons are getting a makeover and will be able to transform into two of the biggest consoles – the Sony PlayStation and the Sega MegaDrive.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Takara Tomy broke the news to mark the simultaneous anniversaries, 30th anniversary of Transformers and 20th for the PS brand. Sony PlayStation Optimus Prime is scheduled for release early 2015 but MegaDrive Megatron will be released later this year.
Takara Tomy plan to released a series of toys based on the PlayStation consoles and this will also include various accessories and controllers called the PlayStation History Collection.
