Here it is. The first official trailer for the upcoming Halo: Nightfall, Microsoft’s live-action digital series, overseen by Executive Producer Ridley Scott. This is not to be confused with the Steven Spielberg television series which is still in pre-production. This new series is said to be set between Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians.
The trailer reveals an element that specifically targets and kills humans. Jameson Locke, an agent for the Office of Naval Intelligence (Oni), is sent on a standard search and destroy operation. But things take a turn for the worst. The visuals are absolutely beautiful, reminiscent of Alien (I guess that was Scott’s doing), and the tone is nicely set up. The production value is extremely high. It’ll also be interesting to see the ONI in action, roughnecks, instead of the super soldiers: Spartans.
Halo: Nightfall will be launching November 11.
