In an interview with Total Film, Dwayne Johnson has finally put those two year old internet rumours to bed! Speculation began in 2012 that the former wrestler turned Hollywood actor and rumours were abound that Warner Bros. were seeking to cast Johnson in a DC superhero role.
In the interview Johnson states that:
“I will say this. There’s a character out there that we’re going to announce very soon that I’m going to play, and I’ll just say this: This character has the power of Superman, he can throw down. Just say the word. That’s all I’m going to say.”
With Comic-Con only a few days away perhaps we’ll get the answer to this mystery casting then for now though fans are speculating as to which DC icon would fit Dwayne Johnson, Shazam, Firestorm, Lobo or even Cyborg?
