Marvel have earlier today released images of Captain America’s cracked shield on display at San Diego Comic Con, alongside a series of other props that also include Harley Davidson’s first ever fully electric motorcycle (which will also be driven by the captain) for next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Both props are now on display at the Marvel booth at San Diego Comic con alongside many others.
Captain America’s shield is made from ‘vibranium‘ one of the strongest materials found within the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe‘ and supposedly indestructible. It survived all of WW2 and even a wallop from Thor’s hammer Mjonir in Avengers. We’ll assume Ultron is responsible for the shields shoddy condition, which just makes you wonder how powerful he really is..? Who knows maybe this will open the door to Captain America’s nifty light shield in the future?
