While The Fault In Our Stars continues to make a everyone weep in theaters across the world, more of John Green’s books are getting the big screen treatment. Paper Towns was confirmed before TFIOS had even been released, and now via his twitter account Green has confirmed his début novel Looking For Alaska will finally be making the leap to film with Sarah Polley confirmed to write and direct.
The rights for Looking for Alaska were sold way back when John was living in New York and the adaptation was in production limbo until now. Seems the success of The Fault In Our Stars was the tipping point. Sarah’s previous directing projects include romantic comedy Take This Waltz and documentary Stories We Tell, while her acting career has seen her star in films such as the 2004 Dawn of the Dead and Splice.
