Bio: Born in the 1800’s to wealthy landowners in Canada, it wasn’t long until tragedy struck as Logans’s mutant abilities emerged and he was forced to flee his home alongside his ‘brotherVictor Creed. The pair traveled and fought as sol

diers in many wars over the years before eventually joining the Weapon-X strike force alongside William Stryker and other fellow mutants.

Growing tired of the constant horrors committed by Creed, Logan quit, falling in love with a school teacher and living a seemingly quiet life. When Logan refuses to rejoin Stryker’s crew, Stryker sends the murderous Victor Creed as an incentive to his return, To defeat Creed, Logan undergoes an extreme medical procedure in which the unbreakable metal adamantium was bonded to his skeleton rendering his bones and claws now unbreakable. With Weapon-X’s deceptions now clear to Logan, Stryker shoots Wolverine in the brain with adamantium bullets causing him to loose almost all memory of his past.

Later recruited to (reluctantly) join the X-Men, Wolverine proves himself as an integral part of the team’s efforts to stop Magneto while also forging a bond with the young mutant Rogue. During his time with the X-Men, Logan works closely with Prof Xavier to uncover the secrets of his past while also falling in love with fellow mutant Jean Grey, much to the disapproval of her boyfriend Scott Summers aka Cyclops. When Jean’s powers later become too powerful for her to control it’s Logan who (thanks to his healing factor) is the only one who can stop her and is forced to kill her to prevent her from hurting more innocent people.

With the death of Jean weighing heavy on his conscience Logan retreats into the wilderness to live in solitude before he’s brought (again, reluctantly) to Japan, to accept thanks from a man who’s life he saved years ago during the Nagasaki bombing. Betrayed and stripped of his mutant healing factor, Logan is forced to embrace his role as The Wolverine once more to set things right. With his battle with The Silver Samurai in Japan costing him his adamantium claws, Logan is now back to using his regenerated bone claws although he still boasts an adamantium skeleton.
