Well, this is an unexpected announcement, anyway. After an incredibly successful tenure as the Doctor in Doctor Who, Matt Smith may be joining the cast of the latest Terminator film, Terminator: Genesis. Coming from Deadline, Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have apparently all but cast Smith in a “major role” which will grow in the second and third film of the final planned trilogy of the franchise.
Should our raggedy man be successful, Matt will join Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jason Clark (Zero Dark Thirty) and returning action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger amongst others for the Alan Taylor directed project, set for release July 1st, 2015.
