Nintendo don’t care for keeping big reveals for E3, it seems, as ahead of it’s invitational Smash Bros. Tournament, they have revealed a Gamecube controller adapter for the Wii U. Much like the reliable multi-tap technology of days gone by, it will allow for four Gamecube controllers to be plugged into the console for all your smashing needs!
This should come as very welcome news for Smash Bros. fans and other Nintendo fans in general as the Gamecube pad was one of their better designs and when playing classics like Smash Bros. and (hopefully it’s compatible) Mario Kart, sometimes you want the classic comfort! Perhaps this also means Gamecube games will hit virtual console? Only time will tell, stay tuned to The Arcade for more as it happens!
