Now here’s an interesting one for metal fans. Dave Grohl already has more strings to his bow than 100 Hawkeyes with the Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures, not mention his producing work for bands as diverse as Queens Of The Stone Age and Ghost but word’s reached us that he’s part of another supergroup project.

Teenage-Time-Killer-608x405Jeremy D. Larson of radio.com writes that the new project, Teenage Time Killer will feature Grohl, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Keith Morris (Black Flag), Nick Olivery (ex-Queens Of The Stone Age), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God), Max Cavalera (Soulfly), and members of bands as diverse as The Misfits, Municipal Waste, Prong, My Ruin, and Articles Of Faith.

The project is headed up by Corrosion of Conformity members Reed Mullin and Mike Dean, who have described it as “a very good mixture of hardcore punk, punk and metal stuff.” It all sounds mouth-wateringly good, and is more than a little reminiscent of another of Grohl’s supergroup projects, Probot.

There’s no solid release or recording dates announced as yet, but one thing’s for sure, with a cast of players like this, lots of people are going to want to listen to Teenage Time Killer.
