Yesterday, everyones favorite JRPG developer released a whole bunch of news all based on their Persona series.

Without a doubt the biggest news was a teaser trailer for the long awaited Persona 5. The trailer shows very little, only giving a single sentence for explanation. “You are slave. Want emancipation?”. The trailer also features 5 chairs, each with a chain and ball attached to the leg; what all this means we have no idea, fans are going wild with speculations. Its possible that the next instalment will be set in a prison due to the imagery or possibly a slave camp. Really we have nothing to go on!

Persona 5 will be released on PS3 in 2014

Next up is something a little different. Along with Persona 5 we also got a trailer for a new RPG title for the 3DS called Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth. This title will feature all your favorite characters from Persona 3 and 4 in a cross dimension fan service adventure. The game will feature a full cast, all redone in a chibi art style. Needless to say this one may not find it’s way over here, but who knows, Atlus has been known to preform miracles

Last years critically acclaimed Persona 4 Arena is getting a sequel already, and it shows off some of the new characters you will be fighting as, or against. The titles name is quite interesting in itself,  Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold and on top of that it adds new characters like Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori. Fans of the Persona series and fighting games in general loved the original last year and god knows we need more fighting games.

And of course I have saved the best for last. Someone over at Atlus decided that the Persona series(a series of games that involve teenagers shooting themselves to awaken their personal demons to fight mind you) needed something more. Apparently that something more was. . . dancing. No I am not joking. Persona 4: Dancing All Night for PlayStation Vita was also annoucned along with the other titles. . and it looks ridiculous. I didn’t ask for this. . I don’t think anyone asked for this but we are getting it but it does look fabulous. The game is being made by the same developers who produced all those Hatsune Miku games that sell so well over in Japan.

I highly doubt we will ever get this, and I don’t blame them, it would sell horribly outside of the initial fan market.

We will keep you posted if any more news comes from Atlus!
