It’s a pretty huge week for MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) games, with DOTA 2’s International championship tearing up Twitch TV, as they battle out for the grand prize of $2.7 million dollars. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Deep Silver have announced Dead Island:Epidemic, showing only the concept title, and a brief description saying:

“Zombies and multiplayer online battle arenas are two great tastes that taste great together, Epidemic will see three teams of players fighting to survive in one match. Deep Silver didn’t reveal much more about the game.” They added however, that more will be revealed  at this month’s Gamescom.

What do you think of the change? How will the game transition from first-person-zombie-slicing fun to a top down arena fighter? As always, we’ll have more on this as it breaks.
