It’s that age old warning overly anxious and borderline rage parents whisper to their excited children days, weeks and even months before the big day arrives (which by the way is only a mere 352 days better start panic shopping now!) – all naughty children will be faced with lumps of coal as punishment for their outbursts of evilness, tantrums during shopping trips and bursting the older brother’s lip open (I was the older brother!).
However it seems there might be some truth to this story… well not so much truth as a devastated child…
A mother in Taladega, Alabama purchased a Nintendo 3DS for her darling son as a Christmas present, bought in Walmart. However instead of finding his dream present the child was met with box filled with rocks! According to the store franchise this can happen when staff fail to do checks on the goods that are returned by customers and sometimes it can happen that an empty box or in this case a box weighed down with rocks ends up on a shelf. In this case however the store were more than happy to replace the box of rocks for an actual new 3DS!
This isn’t the first time something like this, a little bit after Christmas another 3DS, this time a refurbished one was sold to a customer again without proper checks only for it to returned shortly after. The reason? The handheld console was filled with images of porn!
