Right, before this little bit of news gets underway, we’re putting up a big ole SPOILER alert! If you haven’t seen The Dark Knight Rises (shame on you!) then don’t read any further and go watch it and speculate about what sort of top secret information this article could contain…then after watching come back and read it!
Now that they’ve gone, here’s the low-down! It would seem that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is tipped to take over the role of Gotham’s defender and Justice League member in the next big DC movie as Batman gets involved with the League. Don’t believe us?
According to sources claimed by Drew McWeeny over on hitfix.com: “They’re a long way from filming anything Justice League related, but [Warner] appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do … something”
Now we all know that the end of the latest Batman left a lot of doors open (much to the annoyance of many fans!) and with the not so shocking revelation as to the identity of Gordon-Levitt’s role as ‘Robin’ John Blake but now we’re all confused as the man himself stated that the ending wasn’t an opener for another movie but the perfect way to close Nolan’s series.
So, where are we now aside from stewing in our speculation and frustration? What do you guys think?
