The continuing trend of remaking 80’s movies continues now with Highlander. Ryan Reynolds has been cast to play Connor Macleod. All we know is that Green Lantern star is attached along with the writing team of Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man) with Melissa Rosenberg writing of Twilight: Breaking Dawn .
Highlander has always been one of the those franchised I have loved from it’s great movies (it’s weird they went from Highlander to Highlander III without ever making a Highlander II featuring Michael Ironside, go figure Hollywood in the early 90’s) to the tv series, I even watched the animated series and the anime. I choose to remain cautiously optimistic, but there is something about Highlander that was a product of it’s time with an unparalleled soundtrack and Christopher Lambert. Can that magic be recaptured again? What do you think?
