Is this face of the newest Dr. Who?
According to the Express.co.uk the Doctor will be heading for a reincarnation at the end of the 2013 season and Lara Pulver is the name tipped to replaced the current Dr., Matt Smith. According to a source close to the project who apparently doesn’t mind tipping off newspapers (seriously we’re taking all of this with a massive pinch of salt!)“Lara has already been mentioned as a real contender for the role,”.
If the name and face seem familiar it’s because Pulver recently did battle with another BBC icon as ‘Irene Adler’ in the successful series ‘Sherlock’ but that wasn’t her first chance on the big screen, Miss Pulver has starred in True Blood, Spooks and Robin Hood.
With the 50th anniversary of the show just round the corner, is this the new direction producers and writers want to take the longest running sci-fi show in? In a move that could shake up the entire Whovian universe, we are wondering how fans of the show would take to a woman standing behind the controls of the TARDIS?
As a newcomer to the series, personally, the idea sounds really cool but we haven’t even met the 11th Doctor so if producers could hold off on sending Mr. Smith on his way for a few more seasons that would be great!
