It seems a US gaming retail outlet appears to have leaked that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be the next COD title and that we should be expecting it later this year.
The image above was sent to IGN earlier, showing shrink-wrapped reservation cards for the game in question, with the release date clearly visible on them. This comes ahead of Activision’s premiere event set for the 1st of May, where the title and release date were set to be revealed at last.
While the cards do warn ‘Game release date subject to change’, it seems unlikely for a retailer to go out of their way to print reservation cards if they were not certain of the title and the date of release, so we feel we can take this as a good indicator that this is in fact when we should be expecting the game; the 13th of November 2012. While we don’t have much of an idea as to the setting of the game just yet, we’ll be sure to keep you posted! After all, May is just around the corner.
