Sir Roger Moore has passed away at the age of 89. The actor’s death comes after a brief cancer illness. The Moore family released a statement via Twitter regarding his death, to fans:
Moore was best know for his role as James Bond, playing the iconic super spy seven times and featuring in the franchise’s most popular installments. He contributed much of his time to the charity organisation UNICEF, as its Goodwill Ambassador in 1991. In 2003 Queen Elizabeth II knighted him to honour his charity works.
