If you’ve had, or are expecting to have, a stressful day in work then it can be nice to listen to something joyful. A shiny happy tune to help you breeze through your problems and face them with a smile on your face and a song in your hard. Then other times you just want to forget all that nonsense and listen to something angry. A hardcore track which gets your guard up and ready to tackle all of the things which pissed you off. Allow me to provide you with the latter. Recommended if you’re a fan of violent horror movies.
‘Two To The Head’ is the most hardcore song on the controversial album Live and Let Die. This track is the ultimate collaboration of 90’s pre G-Funk hip hop icons. Kool G Rap, the pioneering emcee from Queens, Ice Cube, the legendary gangsta rapper from Compton and The Geto Boys, extreme horrorcore lyricists from Houston. Each brings their distinctive style from vastly different regions of America and they mesh together beautifully. Well, not beautifully. More disturbing and grotesque with unrepentant psychotic rage but still it’s compelling. Definitely not suitable to be played in work but absolutely necessary to be played as you walk into, or out of, your stressful job. Blood, sadism, gore and swearing. What more could you want?
