I needed a pick me up today, so my Track of the Day is Queen‘s hit song ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’. There are songs that you need to hear when you are feeling down, upset or just need a bit of a pick me up. This song never fails in making me feel a little bit better, and the more I listen to it, the better I feel.
This past weekend was the American football Super Bowl, and the team I loathe the most ended up winning it. Some people think it’s just a sport and I should move on. However, when you’re passionate about certain sports or teams, sometimes the result of a match affects you more than others. So with the feeling of disappointment, I needed to listen to my all time favourite band Queen.
This song has recently been named the most uplifting song of all time by cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Jacob Jolij. Also, this particular Queen song, sparks great memories of one my favourite movies of all time, Shaun of the Dead. Queen released the song in 1978 on their album Jazz.
