When I was tasked with writing this week’s Cosplay Highlight, I immediately thought of at least ten cosplayers I could have written about, and probably will in the future. The cosplayers I want to write about are ones who inspire me to better my own cosplays, they’re people who put their everything into their costumes and for that, I’m in absolute awe of them. You’ll no doubt hear from me again about some of my favourite cosplayers, some of which will be Irish cosplayers you’ve seen on the con floor in the Irish cosplay scene. But for now, the cosplayer I want to focus on is someone from the UK.
Chemical Reaction Cosplay is one who has absolutely floored me in the last couple of days with her take on Arcee from Transformers. I’ve been privy to her makeup tests, and I’ve followed her progress on her Facebook page and her Instagram while she’s been making her, and I have to admit, it’s inspired me to get more hands on with my own cosplays. Chemical Reaction Cosplay seems to fully embody every character she takes on, showcasing her talents with makeup, costume design and ingenuity when it comes to characters such as Arcee, Fleur Delacour, Elphaba, Supergirl, Glinda, R2D2, General Leia Organa, etc.
