If you’ve ever dreamed of living in the house that raised (however poorly) Harry Potter, you’re in luck. Although it’s a well known fact that 4 Privet Drive has been filmed in Leavesden Studios near Watford for some time now, the house on which the original was based on (a real life house in Bracknell, Berkshire) is now for sale.

Unfortunately you’ll need the galleons as this 3 bed house is up for a startling £475,000 (approximately €553,000). In an English town in commutable distance of Reading and London, this is no surprise. Yet unless you want to live in this relatively ordinary town (this reporter has been there) and are not disappointed when you find out that Dudley’s second bedroom (with its empty birdcage and bent air rifle) doesn’t exist, it’s quite a high price.

That said, it’s a relative step up per £ from another famous childhood home recently seen on the market; that of Harry himself, Daniel Radcliffe. His home was going for a mind numbing 1.45 cool million in sterling. I mean, anyone who’s been to Fulham knows it’s a nice spot, but these are small town houses with next to no garden we’re talking about here.

If you still want to see the Dursley house from the outside, among other things, you can visit WB Studio Tour any time, though the inside part exhibit is no longer open.
