Mr. Robot took the world by surprise, or at least it took me by it. I thought it’d be one of those guilty pleasures because Christian Slater was in it (he doesn’t have the best track record) and I mostly knew USA from fun procedural shows. And yet, they delivered one of the best shows from last year.
Expectations for its second season are really high, and USA knows it. Recently they announced that season 2 would have 12 episodes instead of 10. Sam Esmail, creator and showrunner, will direct the entire season as well.
Season 2 of Mr. Robot premieres on July 13th and it will consist of two episodes airing back-to-back with limited commercial breaks. After this episode, a live hour-long after-show called Hacking Robot will air. Although it’s not known whether it’ll air every week or after the premiere.
