The Kickstarter campaign for the Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game (or DFCO) has now ended. Evil Hat Productions (best known for Fate) are at the helm here and, amazingly, the campaign has raised a total of $549,486 of its $48,000 goal. Needless to say, they knocked it right out of the park!

Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden has faced down some pretty gnarly cases throughout the course of the Dresden Files series. Wth fifteen books in the series (and counting, with Peace Talks due out later this year), the series has been brought to life in the form of a pen-and- paper RPG, graphic novel series, TV series starring Paul Blackthorne, and now a cooperative card game.

With 8,616 backers, people obviously have plenty of faith in the company to deliver. The game will allow players to work together to take on cases and go up against some of the vampiric, faerie, and other demonic entities from the books (at least, up until Turn Coat).

The game promises to appeal to dedicated fans and newcomers alike. It could be a great way to give your friends a taste of the series!

With an estimated release date of May 2017, we’ve still got a long way to go. But in just one year, we’ll all be teaming up to save Chicago with the help of some werewolves, a vampire and a rickety old car. Sounds like a party.
