For today’s Geeky Goodies, we are diving back in time a couple of decades to find the modern equivalents of nostalgic goodies.
Care Bears
A phenomenon that most 80s and 90s kids would remember. Our first Geeky Goodie today is a modern equivalent of an old classic. For those chilly evenings by the fire, or for cuddling as you drift off to dreamland, we’ve found these great Care Bear teddies in SMYTHS, and we want them all!!
Trolls
Everybody remembers the troll dolls. A staple in most toy boxes from when they first hit the market in the 60s. With a Troll revival set for 2016, kicking off with the animated feature film Trolls by Dreamworks, we’re excited to see what new Troll toys hit the market in the coming year.
Cabbage Patch Kids
Another toy that many kids would have came across in their childhood. The Cabbage Patch Kids are still going strong! With a wide range of dolls to adopt from “Babyland General Hospital”. Tamagotchi
Some may say that raising a Tamagotchi as a child is the best practice for parenthood. As raising a Tamagotchi is perhaps the most difficult task ever invented. My Little Pony
My Little Pony saw a huge revival a few years ago with the creation of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic series, and the spinoff series Equestria Girls. Since then, toy shops have been overflowing with various merch for the series. So whether you wan’t some ponies to display on your desk, or maybe you just want to marathon the series! My Little Pony is back with a bang, and we love it!
