Everyone and their mother’s knows the joke about Leonardo DiCaprio at the Oscars. The poor guy has been nominated so many times and never won to a point where it’s almost stopped being funny. That is, it’s almost stopped being funny. Until we get the news that The Revenant finally saved poor Leo, we can still enjoy this game about his mad, desperate rush to collect a sacred golden statue.
In Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage, you play as Leonardo DiCaprio running down the red carpet in a classic sidescroller style, dodging paparazzi and racing other celebrities in an effort to finally capture a little golden man. You can also earn extra points by “acting harder” or writing an acceptance speech but in a cruel and surely intentional twist of fate, the game doesn’t seem to have a victory screen. It just keeps going while you chase the Oscar in vain.
