Disney today released an impressive schedule of films that will have you covered all the way as far as 2020, covering movies from Marvel, Pixar and both Disney animated and live-action films. We’ll do our best to break them down so you know when you can expect your next dose of Disney feels.
The much anticipated sequel to The Incredibles, titled The Incredibles 2 will land June 21, 2019. Toy Story 4 has been pushed back a year, now releasing on June 15 2018 with Cars 3 taking its previous release date of June 16, 2017. Revealed for the first time today, and the only non-sequel in their revealed schedule, the film Coco will be released November 22, 2017. Pixar have 2 more as-yet-unnamed animated movies landing March 15 and June 19, 2020.
From Disney’s trend of live-action fairy tale adaptations, an unnamed fairy tale adaptation will land on December 22, 2017 with three more live-action movies planned for November 2, 2018, March 29 and November 8, 2019.
In Disney’s in house animation division, and continuing their use of adjectives for animated movie titles (Tangled, Frozen) Gigantic will hit screens March 3, 2018, with two other unnamed films planned for April 12, 2019 and November 25, 2020.
The Marvel cinematic line-up revealed that Ant-Man will receive a sequel, with the new Ant-Man and The Wasp seeing a release on July 6, 2018. Black Panther has received a brand new release date, moving forward from July, to February 16, 2018 and Captain Marvel has been pushed back a few months and will now be released March 8, 2019. Marvel having 3 unnamed movies on June 1, July 7 and November 6, 2020.
