As if the latest serving of Mario Kart needed any more reason to be completely worth investing it, now its come to light that Nintendo have some very cool DLC on the way. Specifically, they’re going a little bit Smash Bros. and introducing characters from outside the Mario franchise as playable DLC for the game. Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and F-Zero will all see themselves brought to life in Mario Kart form with karts, tracks and characters.
Kotaku have the full rundown, which includes plans for two DLC packs; one coming November 2014, which features Link, two Mario related characters, 4 vehicles and 8 courses, and another coming May 2015, which features Villager, two more Mario related characters. 4 vehicles and 8 courses.
