Utada Hikaru returns to Kingdom Hearts

Utada Hikaru, Japanese singer and icon and the voice behind the opening tracks for Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II has been confirmed to return for the third chapter in the game! The confirmation came late last night when her father,Teruzane Utada, replied to a tweet asking if the singer would be working on the new game, Teruzane also acts as Utada’s manager and music producer.

Her previous work for the games include, Simple and Clean and Sanctuary:

Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development, with thw acquisition of Lucasfilm, Marvel Entertainment and Pixar Animation, producer Tetsuya Nomura spoke about the possible inclusion of these characters and worlds in the the next game; “Whenever I hear of [an acquisition], I always say, ‘woah…they’ve done it again.’ The first thing I do when I find out this news is contact Disney and see if it’s something I can use [in Kingdom Hearts].”
