Nintendo has announced that Kid Icarus Uprising will be available in Europe on the 23rd of March, with a free 3DS stand accessory with every purchase of the game.
Since the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl there has been a lot of interest in the character ‘Pit’, Kid Icarus having never been released outside of Japan before. Now European fans can expect to soon be fighting the dark forces of ‘Medusa’, Queen of the underworld, as the angelic protagonist ‘Pit.’
Since the game requires the use of both hands simultaneously, the left to control the circle pad and the right to use the stylus, Nintendo has generously seen it fit to include the new 3DS stand accessory with every purchase to make this task easier. The stand will hold the 3DS system at a specific angle above any flat surface, one that will serve to prevent any issues that come with the 3D display that tend to come as a result of movement of the device.
Nintendo has also announced that Uprising will be compatible with Circle Pad Pro, the intention being to provide support for the left handed gamers among us.
“The way we are using the Circle Pad Pro in the game is to provide support for left-handed gamers,” Masahiro Sakurai, director of Kid Icarus Uprising, told claimed in the Official Nintendo Magazine. “We’ve made it possible to use the right Circle Pad in place of the left one,” he added, making it easier for left-handed people who’d rather hold the stylus in their dominant paw.”
