Rihanna vs UB 40 – Kingston Rude Boy (DJ’s from Mars Club Remix)

This track comes from Conor Lally and it’s so insanely different – starting off as something that would be perfect for chilling out to the track then gets you in the mood to dance until your legs hurt.
Is there anything cooler than Rihanna mixed with some UB 40? We think not! Everyone should know who Rihanna is but for those of you who don’t know UB 40 (shame on you by the way!), the band a British reggae group from the late 70’s. They’ve had over 50 singles in the UK charts, sold over 80 million records; you should know them by the song ‘Red Red Wine’.

Party Girl – McFly

Ok, we know it’s McFly, just try to ignore that and there is something pretty decent and catch about this track. It’s like a new version of the Backstreet Boy’s ‘Everybody’ video and all. The boys turn into vampires and all manner of dark creatures in their new video, feasting on sumptuous female delights who all happen to be scantily clad and eager to please!

Alright, you got us…it’s the video for more than the song…but can you blame us?!

McFly first kicked off six years ago when other punk pop band Busted invited them on tour with them and the lads have since gone on to start their own record label, Super Records. In case you didn’t know the band are named after Marty McFly from the Back to the Future series!

This came recommended to us by Daryl McCrone, a huge fan of the video!

Fast Car – Tracy Chapman

No record collection on this earth is complete without the beautiful and empowering voice of Tracy Chapman. Tracy’s voice is one that can you push you to tears or make you feel like you have the power to change the world – she has been making music almost 25 years now and has released eight albums in that time and Tracy has also won four Grammy Awards.

Fast Car reached number 1 in the Irish singles chart.

Ivanka – Imperial Teen

Ivanka comes from Imperial Teen’s third album ‘On’, which is ranked by Amazon as the 43rd greatest indie album of all time.
Imperial Teen first began their music career back in 1996 when their album ‘Seasick’ bought them a lot of attention.
They are currently working on a 5th album, having released their fourth ‘The hair, the TV, the baby and the band’ three years ago.

Much appreciation to Addy Dillon for his suggestion – the boy certainly knows his music!
